Non-essential/restricted persons are defined as anyone showing signs or symptoms of a respiratory infection, such as fever, cough, shortness of breath, or sore throat(as assessed by the healthcare facility). A person who has come in contact someone with a confirmed case of COVID-19, or is under investigation for COVID-19, or has been is currently ill with respiratory illness will be prohibited from entering the facility. Finally, any person that has traveled internationally or visited a community where community-based spread of COVID-19 is occurring, will not be allowed to visit CMC.
Alternate means of communication maybe established by healthcare providers for residents/clients/patients and their families. Upon facility approval, a non-essential visitor by maybe allowed to enter CMC in situations involving a resident/client/patient who is on end-or-lifecare.
