CMC Named One of Nation’s Cleanest Hospitals

Citizens Medical Center has been recognized by Becker’s Hospital Review as one of the cleanest hospitals in the United States. This distinction is based on data from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) Hospital Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems (HCAHPS) survey, which reflects patient feedback on hospital cleanliness. CMC earned a 5-star rating for cleanliness, placing it among 374 hospitals nationwide to receive this top rating.

The HCAHPS survey, conducted between April 1, 2023, and March 31, 2024, captures patient experiences during inpatient hospital stays, including assessments of how clean hospital rooms and bathrooms are. CMC's inclusion in this elite group underscores its commitment to maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and infection control, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for patients and staff alike.
