Citizens Medical Center Imaging Department consists of four modalities including Diagnostic imaging, Cat Scans, Ultrasound and MRI.
Diagnostic Imaging includes x-rays of the anatomy from chest x-rays to different body parts.
Cat Scans are a computed tomography that allows you to see inside the body. It uses a combination of x-rays and computer technology to create pictures of your organs, bones, and other tissues. It shows more detail than regular x-rays. CTA's is a study done using Cat Scan and the injection of a special dye. The dye lights up blood vessels and tissues that are being studied.
Ultrasound is broken down into three parts: we offer General which is abdomen, GYN, & small parts of anatomy; Vascular, consisting of venous and arterial studies and carotids; and Cardiology which is Echocardiograms, or studies of heart.
Magnetic Resonance Imaging, also known as MRI, is a medical imaging technique used in radiology to form pictures of the anatomy and the physiological processes of the body. MRI uses strong magnetic fields instead of radiation.
All of our studies are interpreted by Radiology Associates of Monroe, Louisiana.
