Citizens Medical Center Imaging Department consists of four modalities including Diagnostic imaging, Cat Scans, Ultrasound and MRI.
Diagnostic Imaging includes x-rays of the anatomy from chest x-rays to different body parts.
Cat Scans are a computed tomography that allows you to see inside the body. It uses a combination of x-rays and computer technology to create pictures of your organs, bones, and other tissues. It shows more detail than regular x-rays. CTA's is a study done using Cat Scan and the injection of a special dye. The dye lights up blood vessels and tissues that are being studied.
Ultrasound is broken down into three parts: we offer General which is abdomen, GYN, & small parts of anatomy; Vascular, consisting of venous and arterial studies and carotids; and Cardiology which is Echocardiograms, or studies of heart.
