Citizens Medical Center is proud to announce it has been awarded a $75,000 grant from the Living Well Foundation to purchase the latest autoclave. This vital piece of equipment will significantly enhance the hospital’s sterilization capabilities, ensuring the highest standards of patient safety and care.
The new autoclave will replace aging sterilization equipment and support Citizens Medical Center’s ongoing commitment to maintaining a clean and safe environment for surgeries, procedures, and daily medical operations. With this upgrade, the hospital will be able to process instruments more efficiently and reliably, reducing turnaround times and supporting better outcomes for patients.
“We are grateful to the Living Well Foundation for their generous support,” said Steve Barbo, Administrator at Citizens Medical Center. “This grant helps us modernize a critical part of our infrastructure, and it underscores the Foundation’s commitment to advancing community health in Columbia and the surrounding region.”
